After a week of work at the Rocca Sinibalda Castle, I realized that Girolamo Muziano's frescoes want to be re-imagined in a surrealist key, starting from the concept of ideally situating them in a post-apocalyptic and sci-fi scenario and transforming them into relics, which an alien species recovers from a planet abandoned by Humanity.
But in addition to this story-telling that underlies the entire collection, graphically and conceptually, I decided to intervene heavily on the frescoes themselves, re-interpreting them in a surrealist key. It is the frescoes themselves that suggest this possibility, as they are composed, painted and imagined.
